Hardware Engineer

We are looking to recruit a Hardware Engineer, reporting directly to the Engineering Manager.  The key responsibilities of this role are:


Function

• Calculates the EM installation (panels/field wiring/components) and participates in decision making with all the relevant disciplines regarding the electrical components and interfaces to be used

• Supports site on construction of electrical installation

• Specifies and writes instructions for cable installation based on cost price and quality

• Designs and engineers power calculations (required max. power), cable calculations for the cable layout drawings and selectivity calculations

• Studies the order file and reports on the feasibility of the requirements and regulations to the Project Leader Engineering (PLE)

• Designs, specifies and calculates the complete electrical controls installation (including the supply and power distribution)

• Designs controls drawings and produces all information necessary for manufacturers, installation managers, special design engineers, wiring contractors and purchase department

• Instructs subcontractors about the working principles of the hardware controls design (drawings and documentation)

• Executes tests and feedback to subcontractors during commissioning phase

• Produces clear engineering instructions

• Be cost-conscious and proactively handling problems and budget queries

 

Your profile

• Electrotechnology/ Energy technology qualification ideal with at least 6 years relevant work experience

• Experienced in developing electrical design for industrial installations and low voltage installations

• Knowledge of relevant CAD systems: Autocad and Eplan

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills at all levels

• Service attitude with customers and team

• Well organized and a decision maker

• Knowledge of used technologies and equipment for Material Handling Systems

• Knowledge of industrial networks like Profibus, ASi bus and Ethernet
