De afdeling 

Op onze afdeling “Parcel & Postal Engineering” voeren wij projecten uit in multidisciplinaire teams bestaande uit Projectleiders, Lay out-, Mechanical- en Software Commissioning Engineers.

De functie 

In Veghel leg je de eerste hand aan het project qua ontwerp en engineering. Naast het configureren van de FSC (Flow Systems Controller; low level controls software developed by Vanderlande) kan het configureren van SCADA en specifieke Vanderlande software tot de werkzaamheden behoren. Daarna ga je naar de klant waar je het systeem in bedrijf stelt. Dit houdt in het controleren van de bekabeling, het afregelen van alle EM componenten, het tot stand brengen van interfaces met randapparatuur zoals scanners, het tunen van de door jou ge-engineerde FSC softwareconfiguratie en het in de lucht brengen van onze software. Hierbij werk je samen met alle partijen op site.

Het uitvoeren van deeltesten en het slagen van de Site Acceptance Test is voor een groot deel jouw verantwoordelijkheid. Vanwege de hoge frequentie van de werkzaamheden op site (>60%) is reizen voor jou een pré in deze functie.

Jouw achtergrond

• HBO opleiding richting Mechatronica, Elektrotechniek of Besturingstechniek
• Tussen 3-5 jaar relevante ervaring.
• No-nonsense en hands-on mentaliteit
• Je bent flexibel en kan goed samenwerken
• Je hebt een sterk analytisch vermogen
• Je hebt interesse in industriële automatisering en besturingshardware zoals veldbussen en sensoren, inclusief profinet, profibus and/or Siemens S7.
• Je hebt affiniteit met computer hardware/software en programmeren
• Je hebt kennis van TCP/IP
• Veel werken in het buitenland is voor jou een echte uitdaging
• Je beheerst de Engelse taal uistekend

Our Postal and Parcel Engineering group carries out projects within multi-disciplinary teams which consists of Project Leaders, Lay Out, Mechanical and Software Commissioning Engineers.

The Position

As software commissioning engineer, you will be involved in project designs and engineering at our Head Offices in Veghel.  You will work on the configuration of our own developed controls software (low level software) and

SCADA systems, you will also install these systems at our customer's sites world-wide.  In this role you will check wiring, arrange electro mechanical components and set-up interfaces (e.g. TCP/IP) with equipment such as barcode scanners and weighing scales.  You will fine tune your own engineered software configurations and get the software up and running. You will work closely with client’s and subcontractors at the customer’s site where you will carry out installation, commissioning, tests and ensure final site acceptance.  You enjoy the challenge of working in many countries with various customers being abroad.

Your profile

• Bachelor Degree in Mechatronics, Electronics or systems controls
• Between 3-5 years relevant work experience
• No-nonsense and hands-on mentality
• You are flexible and work well in teams
• You are analytically strong
• You are self-motivated with proven ability in problem solving skills under stressful conditions
• You have an interest in industrial automation equipment such as senors and frequency inverters
• You have basic knowledge of industrial field buses such as Profinet, AS-i bus and TCP/IP
• You have an affinity with computer hardware and software programmes
• You want to learn new skills and keep up-to-date on the latest technologies
• You enjoy the challenge of working abroad, for this role 60% travel is required
• You are fluent in English
