This is your chance to work in an innovative and challenging environment where your skills will make a direct impact.
What will you be doing?
As a 3D Configuration Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing and programming the "building blocks" used to create our logistics systems. These 3D building blocks are essential components of Vanderlande’s Engineering Suite of Tools (ESoT), which automates the design and configuration of our systems.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Creating and maintaining 3D models and content for use in various projects.
- Programming the application rules for these models to ensure accurate, efficient Configure-To-Order (CTO) processes.
- Working with a data model that connects engineering disciplines, making it easier to generate precise data for projects.
- Collaborating with a Configurator Content Lead to build and refine these building blocks.
- Updating our sales and engineering standards in a three months release cycle and ensuring that new developments are introduced to the global project organization.
- Ensuring the organization is ready for major new developments by preparing training materials and documentation.
You’ll also have the opportunity to be involved in continuous improvement projects focused on enhancing our competitive edge, particularly in the area of Configure To Order and platforming.
What do we ask from you?
We are looking for someone with a mix of technical knowledge and programming skills. Specifically, you should have:
- A degree in mechatronics, IT, controls, or a similar technical field (HBO/Bachelor's or MBO).
- Experience in an industrial environment is a plus.
- Familiarity with XML programming is preferred.
- A strong focus on standardization and modular design.
- A good command of English.
- An eagerness to learn, collaborate, and work in a process-driven environment.

Both teams consist of multidisciplinary product managers and subject matter experts responsible for building the bridges between our departments to ensure product and process alignment for all disciplines. We provide the total solution and conveying stream product deployment knowledge to develop, sell and deliver Airport and Parcel or Warehousing solutions, followed by a strong focus on continuous learning and improving.
