The Analytics Developer is part of a multidisciplinary DevOps team that is responsible for all aspects related to the Analytics solutions they create. An Analytics Developer is part Data Engineer, part Data Scientist and part Data Analyst and even though they have an area of expertise, can fulfil each of those roles up to a point. On a day-to-day basis an Analytics developer implements methods to improve data reliability and quality, combining raw information from different sources to create consistent and machine-readable formats. They also develop and test architectures that enable data extraction and transformation for predictive or prescriptive modeling. If required, they then continue to analyse, interpret and visualize that data in order to enable business process optimization and fact-based decision making.
Responsibilities:
- Build infrastructure to collect (un)structured (big) data
- Design, develop, test, deploy and maintain data pipelines
- Integrate data pipelines and reports in testing frameworks
- Monitor data pipeline stability and provide support
- Share knowledge and stay on top of latest developments
- Use SQL, R, or Python to retrieve and manipulate data
- Perform analysis to assess quality and meaning of data
- Create/maintain visualizations in Tableau, Qlik or Power BI
Qualification:
- Bachelor’s, Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Econometrics, Operations Research, (Cognitive) Artificial Intelligence or related/comparable field
