We are seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic Assistant Supervisor Stock Control to join our team. As a key member of our global supply chain organization, you will be responsible for the allocation and accuracy of all Stock within Physical Distribution, from the moment of Put-Away at Inbound until the moment of Picking at Outbound.
What will you be doing?
As Assistant Supervisor Stock Control you are playing a key role in ensuring the smooth logistics processes within the EDC. You will be responsible for resolving process and logistic challenges, creating and maintaining process descriptions, and developing and tracking Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Moreover, the role involves acting as the primary contact point for all warehouse management system (WMS) related matters, both internally and externally.
Responsibilities:
- Achieving the set targets for productivity and efficiency within the department
- Serving as first point of contact for all related WMS systems and ensuring the systems functionality
- Defining, refining and keeping logistical processes up-to-date to ensure operational efficiency
- Being accountable for the development and monitoring of the KPI’s within the EDC
- Taking ownership of inventory reliability ensuring accuracy and consistency of stock levels
- Execution and administration of all Cycle Count activities
- Investigating missing items based on last known action
- Stock Transfers in between branches, due to a double WMS
- Administration and follow up of all externally stored items
- Location management of WMS, managing the fill-rate of both systems accordingly
- Master data of all items within both WMS’s
- Movement and administration of Obsolete stock and align with relevant stakeholders
- Follow up of Quality Assurance related items within the Warehouse.
- Continuous improvement aspects within Stock Control
- Contribute to optimize performance on all KPIs related to Stock, such as: accuracy, missing items, QA related items, fill rate WMS etc
What do we ask from you?
- You have a profound understanding of Distribution Center processes
- You like to identify issues and find practical solutions for day-to-day challenges
- You are pro-active and ready to take ownership within different processes
- You are ambitious and independent with a practical and action-oriented approach
- Experience with JDE, Vision and/or Locus is a plus
- You have a MBO (level 4) degree preferably within the field of logistics
- Having at least 5 years’ experience in a warehousing environment is a plus
- You have strong communication and stakeholder management skills
About the team
In the role of Assistant Supervisor Stock Control, you will be reporting to the Supervisor Stock. You are responsible for stock control and stock accuracy in the European Distribution Centers of Vanderlande. You will work physically from the DC in Veghel and/or Erp and you are part of the Dock to Stock team.
You will be part of a team of six professionals who are dedicated to efficiently manage stock to ensure smooth operations. Each member brings fresh energy and innovative ideas to improve processes, from accurate stock tracking to optimizing warehouse functions.
