Role/responsibilities
Will be fully responsible for the completeness, accuracy and correctness of GST records at all times and for timely management, statutory compliance and other reporting. Must be able to handle GST returns (monthly/annual) compliance as well as GST audits.
Should also be able to handle GST refunds and GST audits independently as well as with the help of consultants. Should be able to handle department queries and audits.
Will be responsible for ensuring continuing compliance with Direct and Indirect Tax Laws, Company Law/Secretarial matters, SEZ/STPI regulations, relevant Labour Laws, Reserve Bank of India and FEMA regulations and all other relevant statutes.
Knowledge of export incentives (SEIS/MEIS) along with softex compliance is desirable
Should proactively support business and operations in terms of maintaining banking operations and strengthening of internal controls, and providing input for strategic decisions.
Knowledge & experience of handling operations related to Bank Guarantees, LC payments and outward payments will be an added advantage

Reports to the Financial Controller, India operations.

None
Associate Manager/ Finance Manager will be required to work extensively (hands-on) on the JDE platform, use report writers and MS Office, often performing various tasks himself, as is customary in ERP environments for operations of such size.
Qualification
CA (Inter), CMA qualified
Experience
Must have: 9-10 years post-qualification accounting and finance experience in a multinational/international environment.
Must have: hands-on ERP experience (preferably JDE)
Must have: exposure to direct and/or indirect taxes
Desirable: experience in project /contract accounting.
