What will you be doing?
As the Business Controller for Corporate Departments, you are part of the Controlling team of BU Support and report to the BU Controller. You enjoy providing insight into financials and other performance indicators through reporting, analysis and forecasting. Next to this you have an independent view on business proposals and are able to provide advice to a variety of stakeholders.
Your business scope consists of the global Vanderlande Corporate departments, i.e. Group Management, HR, ICT, Finance, Legal and Communications. In this high exposure role you interact with various business partners, including our CEO, CFO and CPO and their Leadership Teams.
Your responsibilities
Your main activities include:

Being the Finance Business Partner for the Global Corporate Departments. As participant of several Leadership Team meetings you provide the business with financial insights and be able to positively influence the decisionmakers without having authority

Preparing financial analysis, calculations and business cases that support decision making and value tracking

Executing the Planning & Control cycle (actual, budget, forecast) with a total yearly spend of EUR 150M
-
Driving efficiency and improvement initiatives together with the Vanderlande cost controlling community, in your role as capability owner for “Cost of Organization”

Participation in Finance improvement projects
What do we ask from you?
For this position, we ask that you bring:

Bachelor or Master degree (Business Administration, Business Economics, Accountancy)

5-10 years of relevant Business Control experience in an international corporate environment
-
Excellent stakeholder management skills and able to communicate on all levels incl. C-level, with a variety of different types of departments located in various countries
-
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
-
Proactive and autonomous nature, able to drive multiple projects simultaneously, and know when to escalate issues or ask for support.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
-
Highly organized and with an eye for details, with a demonstrated ability to identify areas for improvement and efficiency.

Team player, enjoys working in multidisciplinary and multicultural teams with the ability to work independently

An excellent command of the English language (both verbal and written). Dutch or other languages would be advantageous

Knowledge of / affinity with supporting planning and/or business intelligence technologies like PowerBI is preferred.
