As Continuous improvement manager, your key objective is to support our customer in realizing their business goals and targets in line with profitable growth strategy along with leading current continuous improvement team.

In practice this means that you identify, initiate, facilitate and embed business improvements, customer satisfaction, costs & complexity reduction. You will analyse the processes, assess current performance, and propose possible improvements, which you will substantiate with facts and figures. You will also manage a variety of stakeholders internally and at customer side. Based on your experience you will use the right improvement techniques (Kaizen, Lean, visual performance management, etc) to get things implemented and embedded. By doing so you are not only managing action lists and schedules, but you also offer hands-on support to the involved people and teams to speed things up.

Job description

  • Responsible for managing continuous improvement team
  • Analyse process performance and identify improvement opportunities, preferably based on data analysis
  • Find sponsorship and commitment for improvement initiatives
  • Set-up and support (local) improvement teams to execute improvement initiatives
  • Deliver hands-on support on the content of improvement initiatives
  • Actively maintain a network of key stakeholders within and outside the BU
  • Support local teams at KPI definition and performance management
  • Communicating ideas and opinions to other members of management team – Internally and externally
  • Training, mentoring, and guiding team members of local process improvement team in new processes
  • Actively monitor current processes to foresee/identify potential problems and proactively identify solutions to address in advance
  • Complete post implementation reviews to ensure successful delivery has been achieved and to
  • ensure that improvements can be made for future projects
  • Travel on need basis


  • Master’s degree in business engineering, MBA or similar
  • Lean Six Sigma black belt or similar


  • Tertiary qualifications in appropriate discipline (Business, Processing Improvement, Analytics) or equivalent industry experience
  • Exceptional communication skills – both written and verbal
  • Mechanical and Electrical aptitude
  • Team player and ability to work with and through others
  • Strong Administration Skills, with an eye for detail
  • Demonstrated ability to learn and embrace new technology, business processes – Microsoft (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) essential
  • Analytical thinker with the ability to get to the core of an issue
  • Supportive team player who can also work independently
  • Passion for seeking new and innovative ways to enable business outcomes
  • Strong customer service focus
  • Plans and works in a systematic and organised way
  • Data analysis with MS Power Bi and Splunk is a plus
