As EMEA Customer Centre Controller for our BU Airports, your key objective is to continuously support the company in achieving its strategy of sustainable profitable growth. Your main challenge, as a part of the EMEA management team, is to be a mature business partner to primarily our Sales organization during all process steps. You will control compliance with both legislative and company policy, and manage and control project results, risks and opportunities.

You will be part of the BU controlling team, and report to the BU Director Controlling. You will be responsible for the EMEA Customer Centre Control Team, managing a team of 4 Controllers.

Your department

Customer Center Control supports the Vanderlande APS  activities in the geographical Northern Europe and middle East region (including Russia). The financial result of the BU APS comprises the results of Airports and Parcel projects and Airports and Parcel Service projects. Your department has 4 Controllers, focusing on Service Control, Project Control and Customer Center Control.

Your responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing, coaching and developing the Northern Europe and middle East controlling team.

  • Driving and instilling a Performance Management based culture.

  • Value-based pricing and Sales cycle involvement – Commercial proposition, including Leasing, Financing, Total Cost of Ownership, foreign exchange risk management, risk assessment (payment, tax, political risk).

  • Defining and implementing a finance vision and strategy for the EMEA Airports organization, including subsequent objectives and actions.

  • Your involvement in managing financial, contractual and tax risks & opportunities, as well as involvement in customer discussions & negotiations.

  • Based on thorough analysis, the identification of short- and long-term business issues, where you propose and support potential solutions and drive process improvements

  • Managing cash flows and foreign currency exposure

  • Reliable and transparent financial forecasting and budgeting.

  • Group reporting to Vanderlande, within the deadlines, according to corporate guidelines.

  • A leading example to the Global Vanderlande Business Control Community.

You will be a member of the Northern Europe and middle East Management Team.

Your profile

We ask you to bring in experience, education and personality:

  • Master degree in Finance or Business Administration

  • 10+ years of relevant experience in an international company, preferably in a business-to-business and a project-oriented environment

  • Business partnering experience, preferably with a sales focus and strong commercial acumen

  • Experience in managing and coaching teams

  • Solid understanding of sales, project & service control

  • Excellent verbal and written skills in English, other languages are a plus.

  • Because majority of the NEME MT is based in Veghel as well as your finance team regular presence in Veghel is required.

  • Willingness to travel (approx. 25%)

  • Ambitious self-starter, you naturally take the initiative

  • Excellent stakeholder management, you are able to communicate on all levels

  • You are a natural leader
