Introduction

Vanderlande’s warehousing solutions are the first choice for major e-commerce players across the globe, helping them to fulfil their promise of same-day delivery for billions of orders. In addition, 9 of the 15 largest global food retailers rely on Vanderlande’s efficient and reliable solutions. Our airport’s baggage handling systems are installed in over 600 airports around the globe.

All those systems generate data, and the Digital Services department is leading the company digital transformation, developing data-driven services to provide advanced insights for our customers.

What will you be doing?

As a Cyber Security Expert, you will play a critical role in the Digital Services department of Vanderlande. The department is dedicated to leading the transformation of our company into a digital service business, by providing exceptional customer experiences and setting new industry benchmarks. In this position, you will be responsible for ensuring that our digital services teams adhere to established security policies and standards, while also championing security by design throughout the department.

In this role, you will work closely with the digital services teams to identify and mitigate security risks, as well as proactively develop and implement security measures. Your expertise will be instrumental in helping our company maintain a strong security posture and ensuring that we deliver the highest quality of service to our customers. Additionally, you will serve as a subject matter expert, providing guidance and support to other teams within the organization on matters related to cyber security.

Overall, your contributions as a Cyber Security Expert will be critical in helping Vanderlande achieve its goal of becoming a leading digital service business and exceeding customer expectations.

You will be working in multi-disciplinary agile teams, co-located in the Netherlands and India. You will take part in the department’s architecture guild, and work closely with our department solution architect (amongst others).

Responsibilities

• Identify a strategy to improve security awareness and the level of security of our digital services.

• Guide teams in securing the used cloud technology.

• Shape a culture where security is not an aftermath but is embraced at the start of the design.

• Analyzing, reviewing and validating the product for potential vulnerabilities and identifying areas for improvement through security assessments.

• Working with the development team to implement security measures that address identified vulnerabilities.

• Creating and maintaining documentation that outlines the product's security features and protocols for customers.

• Performing testing to ensure that implemented security measures are effective.

• Monitoring the product for potential security breaches and developing response protocols.

• Creating security protocols as new threats emerge to maintain the product's security.

• Educating the development team on cyber security best practices and ensuring their compliance.

• Keeping up-to-date with the latest cyber security trends and threats.

• Collaborate with specialists in corporate cyber security team.

What do we ask from you

• You have at least 6 years of professional experience with a focus on IT applications, information security, risk management, and compliance.

• You are familiar with Azure cloud security.

• You have a profound understanding of current security technologies and governance processes.

• You have thorough knowledge of IT risk and security frameworks and best practices, including the NIST Cybersecurity Framework and the ISO 27001/2 framework.

• Practical knowledge of relevant cyber security standards/framework like IEC 62443, NIST, ISO 27000-series.

• You are familiar with OWASP and can educate developers to early detect and resolve issues.

• You are knowledgeable about Agile methodologies.

• You can work independently with minimal supervision and demonstrate a proactive and self-starting attitude.

• You are familiar with IT security, information security, network security and architecture methodologies.

• Fluency in English (Dutch is a nice-to-have).

• Willingness to travel internationally when needed.
