DFX Coach
Position Description
In this exciting role you will be responsible for developing and driving projects within our Design for Excellence (DfX) & Value Engineering program. A solid roadmap and flawless execution thereof is essential in meeting and exceeding our business goals to bringing to the market well differentiated and cost-effective products and services.
As a coach you will report into the head of DFX and become part of our COO organization. You will work closely with Business Units as well as with other functions like Technology, Supply Chain and Quality. This role includes leading cross-functional and cross-site project teams, through the scoping, planning, execution and closure of strategic DFX projects.
The right candidate will have a proven track record of leading and driving cross functional improvement projects and programs together with the business leaders. Excellent influencing and communication skills are key (or expected or needed).
Your responsibilities

Set up and manage DfX projects driving delivery of our value engineering ambition: customer value up at lower TCO/Total Cost of Ownership

Targeted improvements and savings through DfX approach

Organize cross-functional, cross-site DfX Workshops for ideation and scoping of DFX activities

Cooperate with other departments (Engineering, R&D, Service, Supply Chain, Finance) for budget and resource planning of the activities

Maintain a funnel and pipeline of DFX activities aligned with business stakeholders

Organize regular reviews with the project teams and stakeholders to align on planning, progress and closure of the DFX projects

Proactively identify issues, concerns or challenges in the DFX program.

Facilitate tradeoff decisions and remove obstacles, and keep close contact with key stakeholders if necessary

Establish DfX mindset and toolbox within Vanderlande and train standing organization
Preferred qualifications
-
University degree in a technical discipline or a combination of education and experience that demonstrates the required skills

Requires 5+ years of experience with program and project management in high tech organization and Research and Development/Technology

Proven track record in realizing bottom line impact

Experience with Value Engineering and/or Design for Excellence is preferred

Demonstrates leadership and ability to scope and manage complex projects from inception to completion. Be able to deal with resistance and champion change

Business and Financial Acumen: Understands product and service cost structure, Cost of Ownership and is experienced in creating business cases.

Demonstrates knowledge of design principles, new product development and change management processes.

Demonstrates awareness of manufacturing, service, factory and supply chain processes

Strong written and verbal communication skills: Demonstrates ability to create and deliver presentations appropriately scaled to the audience. Confident at interacting with senior management up to and including Board members

Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to develop authentic relationships with stakeholders.

Strong negotiation skills and demonstrated track record of driving decisions and discussions. Able to work across language, time zones and cultural barriers.

This position offers a competitive salary range of € 4500 to € 6000 per month. Through exceeding performance expectations, you even have the possibility to grow outside this scale.
