If new technologies are your passion and if you like to make a global impact on how we work across our Vanderlande solutions, then this might just be the right opportunity for you!
Winning with Smart Platforms (WwSP) is one of our biggest initiatives where we are working on smart platforms to help standardize our way of working across all Vanderlande solutions worldwide. Therefore, we are building a brand new team that you can be part of and where you can add value by helping us make the most out of our solutions.
In return, we’ll give you global exposure, a variety of international projects to work on and ample opportunity to innovate and work with the latest technologies.
As Electrical Design Engineer, you will work on projects in which new functionalities for our products and systems are designed, developed and tested. Together with your team, you will develop efficient and effective solutions that contribute to our (multidisciplinary) projects.
In this role, you translate concepts into designs that can be used as the basis for producing a set of deliverables (such as Eplan drawings, product specifications, technical requirements). You conduct electrical/mechanical component research and analyze and devise solutions for problems in a structured way. Furthermore, you come up with innovative solutions for power distribution, ASibus, Industrial Ethernet, sensors and frequency controllers and you develop and optimize them further. Once completed, you organize and conduct tests in our Innovation Center.
The products you develop will be used by our Engineering department as building blocks which can subsequently be adapted and reintegrated into our customers' systems all over the world. So you will have great international exposure and can make a big impact on the operational performance of our customers worldwide.
Where necessary, you will support your colleagues in the integration process.
Even though you are part of the Platform development team, you will work closely with R&D. The department of Research and Development (R&D) plays a key role in the continuous investments in development of new products and technologies to strengthen our position and differentiate our products. Electrical engineering has more and more become an integral part of these new products.
Relevant experience in material handling is considered a plus, however, we warmly welcome young graduates to apply for this position.
Furthermore you have/are:
• A technical qualification, preferably a bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Automation or equivalent
• Experience and affinity with Eplan
• Familiar with ASibus and Industrial Ethernet
• An empathic team player with excellent communication skills
• You are a smart self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit
• Driven to succeed, eager to improve every day and demonstrate a desire to be challenged
• Prepared to travel to support your solution in case of a pilot (10%);
• Good command of English (mandatory)
In this position you will have the chance to make a significant contribution to the growth and profitability of Vanderlande Industries. Our organization has been named for several years in a row as ‘Top Employer’ and ‘Best Employer’.
We offer a full-time position in an informal and professional working environment with a lot of scope for personal development.
Besides your fixed salary, you’ll receive the following secondary benefits:
- 27 days’ vacation & 13 ADV (working hours reduction) days
- Flexible working hours
- Training facilities
- Company Health Center (Fitness, Bootcamp, Running Academy, etc.)
- Collective pension scheme and insurance facilities for healthcare, car, WGA (Return to Work Scheme for the Partially Disabled) etc.
