Main Tasks and Responsibilities
- Designing the electrical system in accordance with the contract requirements and the statutory requirements HK
- Create and generate single line diagrams, cabinet drawings and electrical layout drawings for Baggage Handling System during design phase
- Specify electrical and controls equipment specification for other engineering disciplines. Provide electrical equipment list as input for other engineering disciplines.
- Define activity split up based on installation areas, PLC areas and model split-up during detail design phase.
- Prepare request for quotation documents and assist during contractor selection process.
- Execute relevant Factory Acceptance Tests for electrical and controls engineering.
- Manage planning of electrical and controls engineering discipline.
- Identify changes to the contractual requirements and analyze cost and time impact of these changes, support the project manager or contract manager for variation proposals
- Assess impacts and incorporate changes in electrical engineering during all phases of the project.
- Manage and archive deliverables, provide design data to other stakeholders.
- Coordinate building interfaces in particular power interface and requirements to other parties.
- Coordinate when necessary to relevant statutory departments for the electrical and controls design and installation. Complete and resubmit relevant statutory submissions when necessary.
- Create installation files, electrical test reports, extra material specifications, site installation instructions during site execution phase.
- Support installation and commissioning teams.
- Process and submit as-built documentation to project team on electrical and controls discipline.
- Communicate and coordinate design and site issues with client, design consultants, sub-contractors and suppliers.
- Establishes and maintain good workshop relationship with internal and external parties.
- Overnight shift duties may be required.
Required Qualification
- Bachelor in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- Valid holder of Registered Electrical Worker license is preferred.
- Fluent in English and Chinese language.
- Proficiency in HK statutory electrical design and installation requirement and able to apply International design standards.
- Advance knowledge in electrical and controls components, cabinets and field wiring.
- Basic knowledge of AutoCad and BIM software applications.
- Basic knowledge of Baggage Handling System and Material Handling Systems.
- Basic knowledge of electrical installations, IT network design.
- Able to perform basis health and safety risk analysis on component at system level.
- Willing to travel.
