What are you going to do?
As a Field Service Engineer, you are the ambassador of Vanderlande Industries during the entire operational phase of the customer. An important part of your work is checking/maintaining/repairing the systems in accordance with contract agreements in consultation with the customer and reporting the findings. You will join a Field Service Engineering team with colleagues in Finland, Sweden Norway and Denmark.
You have the following tasks and responsibilities:

You are responsible for proper implementation of preventive and corrective maintenance on material handling systems, as contractually agreed with the customer.

You prepare visits to a customer. To do this, you collect project information and analyze previous visits and have preparation meeting with the Service Contract Manager.

After and during your work on site, you provide thorough reporting of the inspections or maintenance carried out.

In the unlikely event that a malfunction occurs in the system, you will be the designated person, on a rotating basis, in a stand-by service to resolve it independently.

You may also be able to implement/support projects initiated by the service organization as a project engineer.

Vanderlande Nordics is a service organization that operates for Parcel, Warehousing and Airport customers.

The team provides the full range of services to our automated material handling systems.

We have a main office located in Oslo and field-based teams in Gothenburg, Stockholm and Vantaa.

We also have a site-based team supporting the baggage handling system at Oslo Airport.
What do we ask of you?
In the position of Field Service Engineer, you make an important contribution to the goal of achieving the highest possible customer satisfaction and becoming the preferred supplier for automated material handling services in the Nordics and worldwide. You therefore are flexible, have enthusiasm, curiosity, a pro-active attitude and a Drive to Win. You also have the following competencies:
- A strong focus on working safely
- Professional Certificate (ammattitutkinto) or similar in electrical, mechanical or electro-mechanical engineering is a requirement.
- 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience as a Service Engineer preferable
- Knowledge of and experience with electro-mechanical systems
- Knowledge of controls (including PLC/Industrial PCs) and bus systems is an advantage
- Good communication skills and good command of the Finnish and English languages
- Experience in the field of logistics, warehouse automation, parcel or baggage sorting systems is an advantage
- Willingness to provide 16/5 breakdown services rotation
- Willingness to travel internationally
- Willingness to work nights on occasion
- In possession of driving license B
