Our current solution for understanding the relationships between different processes utilizes Neo4j technology. However, Neo4j is complex to integrate into our production environment and incurs high costs. For this internship project, we expect you to evaluate and implement alternative graph libraries to replace Neo4j in Vanderlande's production environment. Your work will help us understand the impact of these alternatives on process optimization and cost efficiency.
Department
The Digital Service Platform (DSP) builds the digital service solutions for Vanderlande. DSP is part of the DCS (software development) department within the Business Unit Technology. Within DSP you will be working in the product team of Process Optimization.
Your responsibilities

Understand Current Challenges and Needs: Dive deep into the existing issues and requirements to gain a comprehensive understanding of the project's context
- Explore Different Viable Solutions: Investigate various graph libraries that could potentially address the identified challenges
- Compare the Viable Solutions: Analyze and compare the different graph libraries based on their features, performance, and suitability for our needs
- Document a Recommended Solution: Prepare a detailed report that includes a comparison of the graph libraries, your recommendation for the best solution, and a prototype implementation for each library considered
- Your final research report should provide a thorough comparison and recommendation of graph libraries, supported by prototype implementations. This will help us make informed decisions on the best tools to use for our digital service solutions
