Background of the assignment
A lot of times, we get questions from sites abroad, service engineer and/or commisioning engineers about the behavior of the loopsorter system. Every site has a different configuration/lay-out so it's not always easy to figure out what components are at play. Some sites are very large, up to 800 meters long. The problem description isn't always clear and when it is clear we have lots of logging to process. The machines produce up to 50MB of text every minute. It takes a lot of knowledge and time to read this data and understand what the system really does. In order to ease this process, we want to visualize our output.
If this is possible, our employees in the field get deeper understanding of the system and R&D will get less questions.
Description of the assignment
