Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced ICT Team Leader to join our Information and Communication Technology (ICT) department. The ICT Team Leader will be responsible for leading a team of IT professionals, ensuring the efficient operation of ICT systems, and providing technical expertise and guidance to support the organization's technology goals. This role requires strong leadership skills, technical proficiency, and the ability to drive projects to successful completion.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership:
- Lead and manage a team of ICT professionals, providing guidance, mentoring, and support to ensure the team's success.
- Set clear performance objectives, conduct regular performance evaluations, and identify opportunities for skills development.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance team culture.
- Assists management with hiring processes and new team member training.
Technical Oversight:
- Oversee the operation and maintenance of ICT systems, networks, and infrastructure.
- Provide technical guidance and expertise to team members in solving complex IT issues.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry best practices.
- Helping the team be updated with the latest technologies by following trainings.
Project Management:
- Lead and participate in IT projects, from planning and scoping to execution and post-implementation support.
- Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet defined objectives.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather project requirements and provide regular status updates.
User Support and Service Delivery:
- Manage and prioritize user support requests, ensuring timely resolution and excellent customer service.
- Establish and maintain service level agreements (SLAs) for IT support and service delivery.
- Identify opportunities to improve service quality and efficiency.
- Generates and shares comprehensive and detailed reports about team performance, mission-related objectives, and deadlines.
IT Security and Compliance:
- Enforce IT security policies and practices to protect the organization's data and systems.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, ISO 27001).
- Conduct security awareness training for team members and end-users.
Budget Management:
- Assist in the preparation and management of the ICT budget.
- Monitor expenditures and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience in a leadership or supervisory role within an ICT department.
- Strong technical knowledge across a range of IT areas, including hardware, software, networks, and security.
- Project management experience, with a demonstrated ability to lead and execute IT projects.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- ITIL or other IT service management certifications are a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Information Technology or related field.
- Relevant professional certifications (e.g., PMP, CISSP, CCNA).
- Experience with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
- Knowledge of IT governance and risk management practices.
