As Team Lead Master Data Management (MDM) Product Data Management (PDM) your key objective is to lead a team of PDM Master Data Stewards and PDM Master Data Administrators. Besides that you are responsible for the management and execution of the Master Data Management roadmap for Product Data Management which is fundamental for our development-, engineering- and operational processes. You will be working closely together with Business Domain Owners, Business Domain Architects, Business Domain Data Stewards, Key-Users and Application architects during solution define, design and implementation.

Your team
As a Team Lead MDM PDM you will be part of the management team of the Data Management Organization that in turn reports to the CIO. This fairly new department shows the ambition and direction set by Vanderlande to become a data driven-company.

The Data Management Organization focuses on the further professionalization of Vanderlande’s information needs to facilitate and support the company’s worldwide objectives. In a fast-growing, complex international environment we focus on one way of working, by optimizing and embedding our processes through further digitalization and automation.

Master Data Management is globally organized (Americas, EMEA, APAC) within the Central Data Organization and a major contributor of Business Support within Vanderlande.

Master Data Management is responsible for managing the world-wide Master Data Objects based on Vanderlande’s Global Data Governance Policy. There is a high degree of collaboration and interaction with the global Vanderlande Organization End to End from product and system design until the end-of-life of our customer’s system.

Your position
Your main responsibility in this position is being the line manager of a team of Master Data Administrators and Master Data Stewards.

You will also be a point of contact for stakeholders from the different business domains such as Information, Technology, Supply, Execute Projects and Life Cycle Services, since data is used everywhere within the organization. Aligning with these stakeholders, you are responsible for managing and executing the roadmap for MDM PDM.

Lastly, you will coordinate the support of business improvement initiatives and implementations of PDM solutions.

Your profile
If you are the leader for the MDM PDM team we are looking for, you will excel at:

  • Interpersonal and communication skills at all levels in the organization, building relationships based on trust, persuasiveness and impact.

  • Working in cross-functional teams located at different locations

  • Bringing people together in teams and decision meetings, by coordinating and facilitating them with respect for local cultures.

  • Understanding and keeping the overview in complex (data) structures and have the ability to explain these to your stakeholders.

  • Analytical skills that give the ability to translate the results to the business needs related to data, processes, system, people and organization

  • Aligning with stakeholders and building professional relationships

  • Communication in the English and Dutch language, both oral and written

  • Being flexible in travelling internationally to support team development.

You should have experience with:

  • Product life cycle management and product data management in general.

  • Data modeling and data structures

  • IT systems and applications that support PDM such as Enovia

  • Managing a team of professionals.

  • Agile/SCRUM way of working
