Role Overview

The HR Advisor is part of the People Services organization and supports People Leaders/Managers in their role as people leader in effectively and efficiently managing their teams by covering tactical people and talent needs. The Advisor understands business direction and proactively advises on a tactical level on (potential) people issues and challenges. The role focusses on a specific region or a large country and is an experienced HR professional. Ideally, this role has a regional exposure with in-depth knowledge of country employment law, and operation: Hong Kong (China), Singapore, Malaysia, Taiwan, Japan, South Korea.

Vision, Strategy, Leadership

  • Provide pro-active and tactical advice and solutions to business leaders/managers on organizational and talent matters
  • Understand the business direction within the own region/country and be able to translate relevant insights and local requirements to People Services, Business HR and CoEs (act as a linking pin between global and local)
  • Coach and develop managers on a local/regional level in their role as people leader with regards to key HR events such as performance review
  • Thinks along and provides advice on e.g. team development and to avoid future people issues
  • Be a local organization (HR) ambassador, e.g. by role modelling inclusive behavior towards employees and managers

Operational Excellence

  • Resolve issues that could not be covered by Tier 1 whilst having a deep focus on driving Employee Experience
  • Align and collaborate with CoEs and colleagues within People Services on continuous improvement of the design and delivery of HR policies and programs, based on (local) business needs
  • Together with People Services colleagues execute deployment of people solutions, in close alignment with HR BP and CoE
  • Drive adoption of HR Service Delivery within the business
  • Provides data, tools and solutions to effectively and efficiently manage teams
  • Manage, investigate and solve employee relation matters

Continuous improvement

  • Drive HR program- and initiative adoption within the country
  • Liaises with other Country People Services Leads and the Regional and Global People Services Lead to identify opportunities for improvement and to ensure alignment across countries and regions
  • Collaborate with CoEs to provide input into the business case, change and communication plans for large-scale change programs
