Your department

The Vanderlande Customer Centre Airports & Parcel Solutions NEME (Northern Europe and Middle East) is active in the NEME region to design, deliver and service solutions for airports and parcel customers. As HSEQ is a vital subject now and in the future, we are looking for an HSEQ Manager with the potential and ambition to further develop and professionalize our HSEQ operation and maturity.

Your position

As HSEQ Manager Airports & Parcel Solutions NEME, it's your job to lead and manage the HSEQ operational support and the development of HSEQ maturity of the organization. The impact is across the entire value chain: from sales, design, build to operate and maintain.

Working with a compact, multi-cultural team positioned throughout Europe and the Middle East, you will require a strong (internal and external) client-oriented approach to deliver the right support to teams and management. Providing operational support and program development will require key elements including: in-depth HSEQ knowledge, customer satisfaction, expectation management and project management.

On a daily basis you will be working on operational, tactical and strategic level with your team, the business and corporate HSEQ.

Your profile

If you are the HSEQ Manager we are looking for, you will recognize yourself in these characteristics:

  • You have strong interpersonal skills including being a great communicator and believe that building trusting relationships is the key to success
  • Being customer focused, you sense stakeholder’s concerns and their needs, openly listen and mutually find effective solutions
  • You are a mature sparring partner of senior management within Vanderlande, as well as customers. You are able to successfully collaborate with stakeholders at all levels, including senior executives (in- and outside Vanderlande)
  • You thrive on challenge and drive for excellence and you are not afraid to challenge the status quo
  • You have an excellent command of the English language (additional languages is a plus)
  • Bachelor or Master degree in HSE Management (Hogere Veiligheidskunde, MOSHE or equivalent)
  • Understanding of international safety legislations and how to interprete these
  • You set high standards, lead by example and you have an innovative mindset
  • You have the ability to analyze information and produce written reports and you are computer literate
  • Practical experience working on project sites (lifting ops/work at height/moving machinery/electrical works etc)
  • International working experience is a plus
  • Willing to spend up to 20% of your time (on average) travelling
