Integration & Transition Lead
Vanderlande is the global market leader in baggage handling systems for airports, and sorting systems for parcel and postal services. Working within the Integration & Transition Team the -Integration & Test Manager will be responsible for ensuring our integration & testing activities are planned, developed and executed in accordance with the project and programme timescales ensuring there is a smooth transition into live operations. Flexibility is a necessity with significant periods of on-site working overnight to coordinate and execute system testing and operational proving trials.
This role would suit somebody who can give consistent performance within a highly structured and predictable climate. The job holder should have the ability to deal with routine tasks and the persistence to see a job through to conclusion. The job is of a specialist, technical and administrative nature where the person is required to use knowledge and expertise. A friendly approach and the ability to communicate in a thorough and factual manner are integral to the function. Standard operating procedures, adherence to rules, and a patient, hard working nature are also important aspects of the role. Ideally the person fulfilling this job will have the ability to persuade others, work within specific guidelines whilst at the same time maintaining quality and standards. Develop and maintain an overall Look-ahead schedule for Pre-Production and Production test activities ensuring that any clashes are managed appropriately, and all stakeholders are kept informed.
Act as point of contact for any activities affecting the Integration Test facilities ensuring that affected parties are aware of any scheduled maintenance activities.
Responsible for developing test co-ordination plans for any site test activities ensuring that all internal/3rd Party resources and Test equipment, assets and logistics are arranged.
Customer liaison, developing and maintaining client relationships throughout the project life cycle.
Create and own the Operational Proving plan ensuring that SOPS and CSOPS are proven for Service Take over Provide support to IT Infrastructure team where required
Provide support to Integration engineers during test execution activities
Responsible for any Approvals required in order to carry out test activities (CRQ, ATP etc)

- Knowledge of Parcel sector desirable
- Highly flexible – ability to work night shifts during Site Testing activities at client sites, stretching over significant periods of time. Flexibility to travel and stay away from home during periods of site test activities.
