As a member of the Financial Control department within Group F&C, you ensure that the administrative processes are effective, efficient and properly executed.
You assure that the financial reporting provides a true and fair view of its financial position. This provides Vanderlande reasonable assurance on the achievement of our strategic objectives, which in turn supports proper decision making.
Furthermore, compliancy is an important objective: we need to comply with internal and external regulations (e.g. IFRS, J-SOX).
The Internal Controller we are looking for will enjoy supporting in setting up the internal control framework to support our Delegated Process Owners. Where traditionally you might expect a role more focused on reporting, we will require you to focus on internal control and audits. Not only will you help in setting up the internal control framework, but you will independently test the effectiveness of the controls and report your findings to your stakeholders.
Furthermore, you will be involved in internal improvement projects.
Your qualifications and skills
If you’re an experienced, enthusiastic and skilled Internal Controller, you will excel at:
Drive to continuously improve;
An ability to think in terms of concepts and processes and the ability to translate these into daily activities;
A team player attitude and a global and team performance mind-set;
Superior Excel skills.
You should bring:
a Master degree (Business Administration, Business Economics, Accountancy), (RA of RC is a plus);
3-5 years of relevant Accounting / Control experience in an international corporate environment;
Experience with reporting standard IFRS;
Work experience related to (financial) auditing, internal control and preferable experience with Japanese SOX;
An excellent command of the English language (both verbal and written). Dutch or other languages would be advantageous.
