Description of the assignment
Vanderlande is sending engineers from different offices to customer sites all over the world. These engineers are responsible for commissioning the conveyor systems at our customers. All equipment on a customer site needs to be setup in a certain order, and according to our standards.
To make this successful, it is important that we capture the best practices, and repeat them in the exact same way, on all different customer sites. A lot of this information is already available, only not in the consistent way that we would like.
In this assignment it is important to capture the commissioning steps, important learnings from the stakeholders (commissioning engineers), and verify those steps on your own in the test environment. Documenting the details of those steps is the basis for the rest of the assignment. This will be done in the form of a video script that will be verified with the support office experts, before we can start capturing them in a video.
The next step is to capture video material from our office, our emulation room setups, and a test system on our campus in Veghel.
The last step in the assignment is to edit the video in a way that it can be used by our commissioning engineers.
Description of department
The Engineering department is responsible for the engineering and commissioning of our systems, both in-house and on the customer site. You will perform your assignment in a young group of +/- 15 PLC engineers, who are working both in the office in Veghel and on the customer sites.
