Job Description: We are looking for a motivated and eager-to-learn machining apprentice to join our team. The selected candidate will work under the supervision of experienced professionals to learn how to operate machines and tools to produce precision parts, as well as implement continuous improvement tools to optimize production processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret technical blueprints to understand job requirements.
  • Set up and operate machines such as lathes, milling machines, and computer numerical control (CNC) machines.
  • Inspect finished parts to ensure they meet specifications using precision measuring instruments.
  • Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure efficiency and longevity.
  • Calculate dimensions and tolerances using instruments such as micrometers and calipers.
  • Participate in the implementation of continuous improvement tools such as the PDCA cycle, Kaizen, Six Sigma, 5S methodology, Kanban, root cause analysis, and Pareto analysis.

Requirements:

  • Ability to read and interpret technical blueprints.
  • Basic math skills and ability to calculate dimensions and tolerances.
  • Proficiency in using CNC machines, lathes, milling machines, and precision measuring instruments.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions.
  • Interest in learning and continuous improvement.
