Overview:
- Support and contribute to continuous improvement of VI manufacturing processes, specifically related to final shipment packaging and truck utilization
- Acworth VIM fabricates components and assembles various material handling equipment for warehousing, distribution and baggage handling business sectors
- Internship Program overview:
Vanderlande’s Spring internship program will run for 11 weeks. This is a paid opportunity. Students are expected to work normal business hours: Monday through Friday. Program dates are May 18th- July 31st (These dates are still being finalized).
Responsibilities (included but not limited to):
- General support for mfg. process improvements
- Process mapping
- Data analysis
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in an accredited university pursuing bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Packaging Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Supply Chain Management
- Junior year
- GPA requirements
- Some Excel, Word and PowerPoint experience preferred
- 40 hours/week
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong interest in an industrial or manufacturing engineering career path
Knowledge-Skills-Abilities:
- Must being willing and able to communicate to all levels – production workers and managers
- Ability and experience working in a team environment
- Desire to lead people and be impactful
- Data analysis and process mapping ability
