Job Description Summary
As a member of the IT service support team you will be responsible for a wide range of IT infrastructure supporting a 24/7 baggage handling operation.
This role requires a broad IT knowledge and capability to understand a wide range of IT services – servers, clients, networking – wired and wireless, operating systems – both clustered Windows and Linux, CCTV
You will be expected to broaden your IT knowledge to provide improvements to the IT service and have an continuous improvement mindset.
Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Maintenance and support of hardware, software, cluster servers, databases, networking and supporting systems.
- Maintaining a 24/7 IT service for the baggage handling system
- IT monitoring proactively resolving issues before any service is impacted.
- Managing backups of IT systems
- Ensuring IT security through AV, endpoint and firewall management

- Offers professional arguments as the basis for making choices and for convincing the people concerned.
- Tenacity to follow through to resolution for system issues, even when not directly skilled in the concerned area.
- Takes ownership for issues to get them resolved.
Technical Skills:
- You will have networking experience ideally at CCNP
- You will be familiar with server technologies both for hardware and O/S
- You will have a broad knowledge in IT principles and are able to apply yourself to new challenges using a strong IT systems foundation.
- You will have min 3 years relevant experience in the support of IT systems
Qualifications:
- You will have a Bachelor degree in a relevant IT discipline as a minimum.
- You will be able to demonstrate ongoing career development in your discipline with learning achievements in applied IT specific topics.
