You will be part of the site team, which is responsible for realizing and supporting the customer IT infrastructure. The IT infrastructure is an integral part of the automated material handling systems that we provide to our customers. The IT projects department develops the IT infrastructure products and processes used for the customer implementations, implements various customer solutions worldwide and helps the support departments with the lifecycle management of the customer thereafter. Your role will be mainly for the implementation and supporting our IT infrastructure at our customer.
In this position, you will be part of a dynamic site team that implements and installs the IT Infrastructure for our customers worldwide. You will work closely with fellow IT engineers on a remote basis, that are responsible for the project engineering. On the other hand you will work close together with the site manager his team and subcontractors that are hired for the physical installation of the IT network. When they have questions with regards to the documentation, you are the first point of contact for them.
As a proactive, creative and open minded professional you will need to build up an internal network so that you can work efficiently. You will need to align with but also support, train and advise your colleagues from various teams (for example the site installation & commissioning team and the installation subcontractor(s)).
You are responsible for
Support in IT network Installation, configuration, testing and commissioning of customer-specific IT infrastructure solutions as part of projects
Error analysis and troubleshooting during project execution
Give input to the daily toolbox meetings as well as the progress meetings
Support in progress reporting to the site manager as well as the project team (located in Europe).
To be eligible for this position, you must:
Successfully completed vocational training or study in the field of computer science with a focus on system integration
You have initial experience in server / client structures
Experience in dealing with current Windows / Linux systems and VMware as well ideally good hardware knowledge with HPE and Cisco
Have a positive, hands on and can-do attitude
Be fluent in English (written and verbal)
Be willing to work on site.
