Do you like to secure the high-level controls operation of our advanced baggage handling systems at Schiphol Airport and for other leading customers? Manage internal and external stakeholders, organize and conduct tests on system level? Do you like to take an extra step, analyzing the root cause of a failed test or incident, and initiating the process to decide on solutions for this cause? What you will be doing? 

The (Junior) Integration Manager is part of the on-site service team at Schiphol airport. Working closely with the service team, project manager and project leaders of the various hardware- and software engineering disciplines, he or she focusses on the design, integration and testing of the system with special attention for managing the technical risks that are inherent to complex systems. You will be focused on Schiphol but might be required to manage several smaller accounts and projects independently and systematically. Together with the customer and colleagues from the team you support the successful deployment of new features and functionality, with strong focus on IT security and patch management. 

Responsibilities 

  • Manage the functional design to ensure customer requirements are translated into the right solution with the lowest possible risks. Advise on the use of standard solutions and the impact of special solutions. 

  • Identify risks and finding solutions to reduce them. 

  • Realize the system integration plan, test plans and test specifications in collaboration with Solution Architect and Integration engineer(s). 

  • Manage the test phase and ensure a smooth, seamless transition to our customers operational processes together with the Integration Engineer and other engineering disciplines. 

  • Understand the customer processes and acting as advisor in correctly estimating the impact of changes. 

  • Progress monitoring with clear, concise reporting. 

  • Managing component deliveries by suppliers by means of verification and validation. 

  • Integrating (sub-)systems in existing customer systems. 

  • Make sure that the system after a careful testing phase is handed over according to specification by your colleagues and suppliers. 

  • Manage releases together with the development teams and promote releases to customer’s acceptance and production systems, this also includes (security patches). 

  • Develop and maintain customer specific validation test processes/reports for change control artifacts. 

  • Continuously monitor the customer’s IT infrastructure, application, and material handling application environment for expected SLA’s. 

  • Triage all events reported and maintain incident reporting until event is closed. 

  • Create/Develop procedures, tools and dashboards to help with troubleshooting, analyzing production issues and to get the integration process more mature. 

 

What do we ask from you? 

As (Junior) Integration Manager you are able to act on operational, tactical, and strategic level, and you know how to plan and execute changes and new functionality by means of solid project management. You have excellent communication skills, and you are able to build good relationships with our customers.  

Furthermore: 

  • You have a technical or logistics education, at least Bachelor level. 

  • Preferably you are familiar with customer processes in Airport Automation. 

  • You are an experienced system integrator, and are familiar with systems engineering processes (requirement management, verification and validation, change management and configuration management). 

  • You know how to build partnerships with customers and with internal and external suppliers. 

  • You know how to find the right balance between quality, lead time and cost. 

  • You have well-developed analytical skills and you think at system level. 

  • You are proactive and pragmatic. 

  • You are able to motivate people at all levels and are a teambuilder. 

  • You have less than two years of working experience in a similar role. 

  • You have affinity with working in a technical and logistical environment. 

  • You are a solid stakeholder manager. 

  • Good command of English and fluent in Dutch.

This position offers a competitive salary range of €4.100,- to € 5.250,-  gross per month (excluding 8% holiday allowance). Through exceeding performance expectations, you even have the possibility to grow outside this scale.
