Essential Functions (Job Duties and Responsibilities):
Solid understanding of duties performed within the configuration, deployment, and support of production applications/environments to include configuration, monitoring, patching, troubleshooting, test validation within SDLC prior to release, and other functions to include:

Identify problems and perform Root Cause Analysis in close collaboration with other development teams by reviewing application code for complex microservice applications in a high-performance environment.

Create/Develop tools and dashboards to help with troubleshooting, analyzing production issues.
-
Review system and application logs to trace issues and gather information for analysis.
-
Manage releases together with the development teams and promote releases to customer’s acceptance and production systems.
-
Develop and maintain customer specific validation test processes/reports for change control artifacts.
-
Continuously monitor the customer’s IT infrastructure, application, and material handling application environment for expected SLA’s.
-
Triage all events reported and maintain incident reporting until event is closed.
Required Education and Experience:
-
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering (any), Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related field of study.

4+ years of Java/.NET development experience.

Position must also have demonstrated experience in the following, developing REST APIs, event driven applications, and micro-services; relational, and event streaming database implementations (Oracle, IBM MQ, RabbitMQ, or Kafka)

Efficient in SQL queries, joining multiple tables and schemas.

Experience with Elastic and Kibana searches.

Team player, adaptable and willing to broaden skills outside core skillset, and to develop and mentor other team members

Good planning/scheduling/attention to detail and ability to work to a high standard for skills

Position requires up to 20-25% domestic and international travel.

Able to wear steel toe shoes while on site and lift to 35 pounds.

Willing to participate on after hours on-call support rotation including weekends.
Preferred Qualifications:
Any of the following additional experience is a plus:
-
Previous support or implementation position in Supply Chain or MHS company

Working knowledge in MongoDB
-
Experience with Jenkins or Bamboo for continuous delivery automation

Working knowledge of one or more scripting languages: PowerShell, bash, Python
-
Working knowledge of network troubleshooting techniques and tools and SSL certificates.

Good understanding of business processes in a complex Warehouse environment

Good understanding of Material Handling Systems

Good understanding of development practices like Scrum and CI/CD
