Based in Taipei, you will become part of one of the leading suppliers in warehousing automated solutions and the global market leader for value-added logistics process automation at airports and in the parcel market.
Your key focus areas in this role is as follows：
Participate in system design
-
Translate customer drawings and specifications into a fully functional mechanical system
-
Optimize the functionality from as-sold to a working mechanical design within the budget in consultation with other disciplines (Controls, Supply Chain, Installation, etc.)

Apply safety regulations and ergonomics
-
Perform spatial analysis of clearance envelopes, egress pathways and forktruck vehicular aisles
Create / Configure Model
-
Engineering of non-standard mechanical interfaces
-
3D modelling of systems and associated 2D layout drawings
-
Understands and manages client’s CAD/BIM related requirements
-
Join workshop with external parties and keep informed all related issues with internal team
-
Conduct on-site measurement, scanning when required and prepare relevant site survey reports
Specify Equipment & Validate
-
Specify the mechanical equipment required, including both Vanderlande manufactured and third party purchased items
-
Create a motor manifest with respect to electrical and controls engineering requirements
-
Calculate system component loads and translate reactive forces to the building structure
Project Cycle Management
-
Document all engineering decisions through design plans, complete and clear installation files, and engineering instructions directed to a site supervisor and installation subcontractor

Project document control using a rights based database system

Manage and archive deliverables, provide system design data to other stakeholders
Plan, report and teamwork

Create detailed specification planning from overall project plan

Reports progress to Project Leader Engineering

Delivers scope with predictable quality in time and within budget

Support the installation and commissioning both on airport site, and from the Taipei office
-
Travel to site as needed to conduct site surveys
Continuous improvement

Transfer knowledge to other engineers

Initiates improvements in content, process and tooling

Feeds back lessons learned from the project into product, process and tooling

Basic Qualifications
-
Bachelor's degree in Engineering
-
Minimum 1 year of relative work experience
-
Good written and spoken English
-
Proficient in AutoCAD 2D, with 3D proficiency is a plus
-
Basic knowledge in steelwork and MEP design
-
Basic knowledge of mechanical installations
-
Must be willing and able to travel domestically with occasional international opportunities
