After your onboarding, where you learned our Engineering way of working, your first project could be to design a warehouse for a customer with many challenges. Eg., fitting the system into an existing building is not always obvious. Also, the customer has a range of products consisting of food ingredients in bags, to bottles of shampoo, and, by the way, they also sell ball hang lamps. The design, that you create in close cooperation with a Layout Engineer, an Electrical Engineer, and a Controls Engineer, is signed off by the customer so Vanderlande can start with the manufacturing of the system.
Since you implemented a new type of sorting exit into the system, you want to assure that the products will flow smoothly; so set up a test module in our Innovation Center, get some products from the customer, and test if everything works as you expected. During on-site inspection and measuring of the building, you find out that the columns are not positioned as in the building drawing received and therefore the system will clash with some columns. Together with the Layout engineer and platform supplier you will work to a solution to avoid the clash.
Being a Vanderlande Project Engineer, you are passionate about creating such "impossible engineering" solutions.
If the role of Mechanical Engineer appeals to you, then please apply now by completing the application form, and uploading your CV and covering letter. For more information, please contact Robbert van der Vorst (Recruiter) on +31 413 495 288.
