The Service Sales and -Operations department of Business Unit Warehousing Solutions (BU WS) is responsible for the development and implementation of ‘Life-Cycle Services’ to our customers and is growing strongly. The department is an international operating service organization and consists of more than 500 employees who work together to make sure systems are available around the clock for our customers to use. Alongside the traditional services, we are working in developing ourselves as a business partner for our customers.
For one of our Key Customers we have built a Mechanized’ Regional Distribution Centre (RDC) and we are searching for a natural leader with Service DNA to further build and manage our service team on site.
The Operations & Maintenance Manager (O&M Manager) is responsible for management of handling the system for the customer, as specified in the contract and plays a key role within the management team of our customer. You communicate, build and maintain the relationships with the key decision makers to ensure the maximum synergy between the operations of the RDC and the automated handling system. In addition, you see and create opportunities for an optimal use of the system in this challenging environment.
Together with our site based service team, consist of approximately 100 employees (including contractors) you make it work!
Tasks / responsibilities:
You report to the Director Service Sales and -Operations
Together with your management team you further build a strong (site) service team
You execute the service contract and manage it on site. Such as managing the team, operations, quality and budget
You communicate and report to the customer and the Vanderlande organization
Continuous improvement of team – and system performance and the maintenance methods
You coordinate potential major incident(s)
You are responsible for health, safety and the environment on site
You have a proven record in operations & maintenance and preferred of high end material handling solutions or related automation. Working within an international and multicultural environment is well known to you.
The ability to manage and lead as a team builder is significant for this position. We believe the right candidate at least meets the following requirements:
You have finished a technical Master or Bachelor degree
You have relevant working experience (10 – 15 Years) in an Operations & Maintenance role. Preferably in a technical environment
You have operated at a Senior Management level
You are experienced in Key stakeholder Management up to C-level.
You have a strong customer focus and service “DNA” to guarantee system performance and the maintenance methods
You act as an entrepreneur and are commercially minded
Excellent communication skills in Dutch and English
