Your responsibilities
You will be responsible for a wide range of QA areas related to performance including creation of test plans, scripts, scalability testing, and automation of those into DevOps pipelines for continuous testing of high level control software platforms and applications. As a member of an agile team working with Sr. Developers, Architects, and Integration Engineers, you participate in various product development and project specific projects. You are capable to work independently and take full responsibility for the performance testing coverage of the SDLC from test plan, reporting, and release validation. You will also coach and train others on performance testing best practices and standards continuously evaluating new techniques and technologies to improve the organizations quality through a customer centric approach.

Creation of performance test environment, test data, and performance monitoring required for the product development

Managing CI/CD pipeline test execution and resolving issues within pipeline code for proper testing, analysis, and reporting of performance test results

Working with software, platform, and infrastructure architects to gain understanding of application and system operational requirements to meet performance and scalability to finalize performance test scope

Identify the performance related non-functional requirements as confirmed with collaboration of stakeholders

Create performance and scalability test plans, scripts, and approaches utilizing testing tools like JMeter, Gatling, Locust, or other load testing tools

Perform root cause analysis with various profiling tools to identify performance and concurrency bottlenecks and work with development teams on corrective actions

Implement and improve sizing and capacity calculators for all key areas of the product to ensure proper resource configurations

Collaborate and contribute to automation test system architecture, methodologies, and processes using industry best practices and innovation of testing framework

Works as a multi-skilled professional practicing SAFe Agile in both a SCRUM/Kanban methodology
Your qualifications and skills
-
Bachelor or Master’s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or equivalent
-
A Minimum of 5 years working experience in performance test engineering and benchmarking environment

Extensive experience in performance testing with various technologies (J2EE/Java, microservices, containers, cloud native products, etc.)

Expert in implementing test integration of load test tools into CI/CD pipelines utilizing Jenkins
-
Deep understanding of technical architectures (application and infrastructure) to identify non-functional requirements
-
Experience with SQL queries, stored procedures, and data analysis/validation
-
Experience in creating and running scale test for Kafka topics, Linux servers, and Kubernetes clusters along with ability to utilize various monitoring tools like Grafana, Prometheus, and Elastic Stack to perform detailed analysis of performance test results.

Demonstrated ability to perform complex test analysis, test case construction/automation and defect documentation for reproduction.

Demonstrated and effective time management, organizational, prioritization, and planning skills along with the ability to work within a single team and across multiple teams and projects.
