Your Department

The Global Supply Chain organization in Vanderlande is responsible to supply all of the goods and services we need to execute for our 270+ concurrent projects. For this, we work closely together with our internal stakeholders to meet business demands while leveraging synergies over the more than 1 Bln Euro spend we have with 7000+ suppliers. The Project Management office is responsible for coordinating the total improvement portfolio within the Supply Chain Center of Europe (SCC EU).

Your Role

In the fast-changing world of logistic process automation, we need to constantly adapt to stay ahead of our competitors. Therefore we need to drive multiple improvement projects and strategic initiatives in order to get there. We will need to collect, steer and prioritize the overall portfolio of improvements on our way to becoming a more successful, profitable and competitive Supply Chain Center.

In your role you will coordinate the total improvement portfolio within the Supply Chain Center of Europe (SCC EU). You will be responsible to collect, track (including value), initiate, steer and prioritize our initiatives in order for the SCC EU to become successful in the future. As PMO of SCC EU you will also be part of a broader Center of Excellence within the BU Supply, frequently interacting with your counterparts in the other regions and with the central Supply Strategy team, to indicate the progress of SCC EU in relation to the bigger BU Supply portfolio of strategic initiatives and aligned with the progress of the two other Supply Chain Centers. You will report to the Director Supply Chain Europe and will become part of the SCC EU Management Team. Can you help us out?

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Collect and maintain the improvement portfolio within the SCC EU

  • Execute improvement initiatives in SCC EU together with the different departments in- and external SC EU.

  • Track progress, impact and value of all improvement activities on a regular basis from initiation until closure

  • Guide the SCC EU Management Team to turn strategic direction into actionable improvement initiatives

  • Report progress of the regional improvement projects towards the BU Supply Center of Excellence

  • Support the regional implementation of global strategic improvement programs

  • Manage the degree and speed of change per quarter to allow an effective and efficient drumbeat of improvements coming to the different teams

  • Be an ambassador for change management and uphold a methodical approach to support it

  • Manage key stakeholders in the BU Supply Leadership Team on expectations and planning

Your qualifications

  • Master Degree (technical) university, preferably in (business) engineering

  • + 4 year experience in a Project Management Office

  • Portfolio management experience is preferred

  • LEAN Black Belt is a pré

  • Project management qualification is a pré e.g. Prince II

  • Professional reporting and presentation skills

  • Strong interest in Industrial Automation and Customer Services (B2B)

  • Keen to work in an international environment and able to navigate through cultural differences

  • Excellent stakeholder management and relationship building skills

  • Conceptual thinker on strategic level

  • Pro-active attitude, drive for improvement

  • Experience with quality improvement & operational excellence preferably in a technical environment

  • Fluent in Dutch and English
