Project manager ADAPTO – Early Bag Store development

In Technology (R&D), no two days are the same. Our activities are based all over the world and each project is different. These projects improve the business of our external customers within the Airports, Parcel, and Warehousing markets. You will report into the Technology department and you will be also team member of the ADAPTO organization. ADAPTO is the Product Group for automated storage technology based solutions serving both Airports and Parcel Solutions as well the Warehousing Solutions business units. ADAPTO is setup as a fully cross functional team, consisting out of Solution Development, Sales, Engineering, project execution and service specialists. This enabling us to develop and deliver an integral solution to the platforms.
As the Project manager Early Bag Store development you are responsible for the execution of multiple interdependent product development projects running in parallel. Additional complexity comes from the fact that several modules are being developed in-house but on several locations in Europe and the fact that ADAPTO is developed for multiple markets, eg. Airport and Warehousing. The ADAPTO development organization consists of an architecture and integration team, a multi-disciplinary equipment development team and multiple IT module (Software) development teams. At this moment four EBS developments development projects are running in parallel with a total development team size of approximately 40 FTE (internal and external).
As the Project manager Early Bag Store development you are responsible for delivering the different EBS based solutions to the Vanderlande platform organization with the agreed scope, the requested quality and within the agreed time and budget. Identifying and mitigating program risks and opportunities are crucial for you and your stakeholders. You constantly ensure that the program scope and timeline is in line with the priorities as defined by the business.
Your qualifications and skills

Other qualifications are:
a Master Degree and a great affinity with technology;
at least 6 years of relevant working experience as project or program manager for technical product or equipment development projects;
a proven track record in leading (international) teams of technical specialists;
experienced in stakeholder- and time management;
a smart self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit and enjoy working in an innovative and developing environment;
result-oriented and have a pro-active approach ;
a continuous improvement focus and attitude;
willing to travel internationally (up to 20%).
