In this position, your challenge is to further strengthen Vanderlande’s position as a market leader in a very competitive market. You will be working for the leading Parcel and Airports clients, helping them to further improve on their business. Your geographical responsibility will include Benelux and possibly other countries in the European region.
As a Sales / Account Manager, you define a strategy to execute market development actions to create new business opportunities. These actions are based on the segment strategy and account plans that are develop together with the team. You nurture leads, gather the relevant information on the technical aspects and the bidding process. Together with your sales colleagues, you are responsible for making and executing the sales strategies and plans, understanding the customer’s business, processes and values, anticipating on this, and with the aim to prepare a spot-on proposition which exceeds customers’ expectations. You influence the decision-making processes and build and maintain strong senior management relationships with the relevant Decision Making Unit (DMU)’s of our existing and potential customers. As Sales / Account Manager you lead the sales team during the complete sales cycle, from negotiating terms and conditions to a winning proposal, creating and selling value rather than price.
Your qualifications and skills
You exceed your discipline, and by doing so, come up with innovative and creative solutions which bring our customers forward. You know how to work together with your internal and external contacts to create the best sales team for each sales project. You also have;
Bachelor or Master (Engineering or Commercial)
At least 5-10 years of commercial working experience; preferably with high value engineered solutions.
Working experience in relevant industry segment is an advantage (preferably Parcel or Airports);
Demonstratable experience in translating customer’s needs into truly customer-focused value propositions and new business models
Drives joint development and introduction of new innovative solutions at our customers
Possess business acumen and a strong sales spirit;
Strong communicational skills, you have a creative and efficient approach to building professional client relationships;
High analytical ability, natural negotiator;
Perfect knowledge of the English language, Dutch is a pre.
