Responsibilities:
- Assess potential application of company products, services and offer solutions to address customer’s concerns.
- Use technical and analytical skills to develop Operations and Maintenance programs based on human capital, classification of resources, historical data analysis, and resource allocation.
- Collaborate with Business Development Managers (BDM’s) in developing sales strategies by determining customer requirements.
- Manage internal and external resources to present the best possible value propositions to the customer.
- Build and improve customer relationships at all levels and technical management of customers.
- Coordinate sales material, pricing strategy and proposal content.
- Provide input into weekly/monthly departmental activity reports.
- Manage and control the quotation process and planning in the bid phase.
- Support the BDM in the handover of project information to Operations for execution and fulfillment.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Engineering bachelor’s degree, equivalent experience may be substituted for qualified highly candidates.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in sales engineering, selling or assisting in a B2B environment with a potential extended sales cycle (12+ months).
- Material Handling Systems processes and Industrial Controls knowledge strongly desirable.
- Excellent communication and social skills, high energy and an entrepreneurial spirit.
- Ability to analytically approach problem solving and applying technical concepts.
- Ability to independently multi-task and work under minimum supervision.
- Ability to plan and accomplish goals by relying on experience and judgement.
- Experience and high level of comfort in presenting to multi-level contacts in medium to large organizations.
- Ability to build and assist in presenting business development plans to an international audience.
- Proficient user of the Microsoft Office Suite in order to calculate solutions, create and display professional presentations.
- Ability to travel approximately 20% of the time, domestically and internationally.
