Your role
As a Specialist Control Support Engineer, you work with our in-house developed, PLC-driven sorter systems that power automated material handling processes. Using cutting-edge technology, you help customers get the most out of their automation systems—making a direct impact on operations at their sites.
You are the highest level of support within the Service Desk. You analyze complex incidents, restore service, and identify root causes. More importantly, you focus on prevention by delivering structural solutions and leading their implementation.
Most of your work is done remotely via VPN, but you’ll also regularly visit customers on-site to perform upgrades and improvements—whether that’s in France, Japan, or elsewhere.
Your responsibilities
- Act as a technical expert and resolve complex issues
- Handle high-level, often multidisciplinary incidents, problems, and changes
- Drive continuous improvement of systems, tools, and processes
- Lead root cause analysis and implement long-term solutions
- Coordinate resources for analysis and on-site activities
- Support knowledge sharing, training, and team development
- Stay ahead of new technologies and advise on their use
- Strengthen collaboration between teams, departments, and customers
- Contribute to project execution and service transitions
- Take ownership of and lead customer escalations
Who you are
- You’re proactive, solution-driven, and enjoy working in a team.
- Technical background
- Experience with PLCs / networks (Siemens TIA Portal is a plus)
- Fluent in English (Dutch is a plus)
- Willing to join an on-call rotation

This position offers a competive salary range of € 5.000,- to € 5.600,- gross per month (excluding holiday allowance). Through exceeding performance expectations, you even have the possibility to grow outside this scale.
