Your position 

The Airport & Parcel markets are both promising and are steady growing. To have a good understanding and clear insights of these markets we are looking for a Senior Market Insights Manager. As a member of the Strategy & Customer Engagement Team within the BU Airport & Parcel Solutions, the Senior Market Insight Manager is responsible for generating, validating and communicating the market insights for both segments. 

 

In this role you will collect and verify data to provide coherent analysis leading to powerful market insights which support decision making. Generating in-depth market understanding that drives validated choices for direction and development within the Airport & Parcel market segments. You will also support the business in the development and implementation of the market strategy, concept- and solution developments and optimization of the market plans. 

To come to validated market insights a wide range of inside and outside relationships need to be nurtured. This requires you to build an intensive internal and external network to come with challenging and validated recommendations for our business and portfolio strategies. 

  

Your department 

The Strategy & Customer Engagement Team is responsible for the BU’s market segment strategies, drives global Key Account Management, the Customer Satisfaction program and supports the Airport and Parcel development roadmaps; the Flightplans. To stay ahead of the game in the present and anticipated future growth of the Airport & Parcel markets, the Senior Market Insights Manager as a critical role for balanced decision making. 

 

 

Your responsibilities 

  • Identifying, collecting and interpreting relevant data on markets, customers, solutions, competitors and operations 

  • Providing validated market insights, translating to thorough reports and presentations that support strategic and tactical decision-making by the Executive Leadership Team. 

  • Own, continuously improve and update the global Market models for Airport & Parcel markets. 

  • Support the Customer Centers with relevant market data in general, and in specific (sales) cases. 

  • Work closely together with internal stakeholders to increase focus on a marketdriven development roadmap by focusing on Market Leading Concepts. 

  • Develop and maintain relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to identify emerging needs and business challenges. 

  • Create a network by continuously aligning with the regional Customer Centers, business areas and Market Analysts. 

  • Maintain an in-depth knowledge of markets and trends through interpreting reports, market research, data manipulation, financial modelling and analysis. 

  • Support global launch- and go-to-market activities. 

  • Drive yearly market research planning and insights platforms, supporting the BU Strategy. 

  

  

Your qualifications and profile  

To be successful as Senior Market Insights Manager, you have:

 

  • Master’s degree in a relevant (business) field, ideally also in the field of logistics. 

  • 10 years’ experience in the field of market insights or market intelligence, data analytics, strategic management and/or business development. 

  • Strong customer focus and organizational skills. You are able to manage multiple projects for multiple markets and regions. 

  • Experience and/or a good understanding of the Material Handling industry in general, or the Aviation and Parcel industry specific is a big plus. 

  • Natural networker, effective at various levels, influencing without direct management oversight. 

  • Strong communication skills, you are articulate in your contribution to executive-level discourse. 

  • Deep experience in working with quantitative and qualitative market research and data projects. 

  • Experience in dynamic and international environment – can do attitude, self-starter. 

  • Able to challenge the way things have been done and handled, and to drive change and create focus. 

  • Experience in working with multidisciplinary teams within a matrix organization. 

  • Willingness to travel internationally (+/- 10%). 

  • Excellent command of English and preferably another language.
