Senior Sales Manager Warehousing

In this position, your challenge is to further establish Vanderlande’s position as a market leader in a very competitive market. In our Warehousing segment, you will be working for the world’s leading clients, helping them to further improve on their business.
As a Senior Sales Manager you define a strategy to conduct and execute market development actions to create business opportunities and gain new projects. These actions are based on the segment strategy that you develop together with the sales team. You nurture leads, gather the relevant information on the technical aspects and the bidding process. Together with your sales colleagues you are responsible for making and executing the sales and marketing plan, understanding the customer’s business, processes and values, anticipating on this, and with the aim to prepare a spot-on proposition which exceeds customers’ expectations. You influence the decision-making processes and build and maintain strong senior management relationships with the relevant DMU’s of our existing and potential customers. As Sales Manager you lead the sales team during the complete sales cycle, from negotiating terms and conditions to a winning proposal, creating and selling value rather than price. You have a solid understanding of the accounts business model and aligns Vanderlande strategy and actions for the benefit of both parties. You steer from transactional business towards a mutually beneficial frame-work agreement, resulting in guaranteed repeat business
The Sales Department Warehousing is organized in 3 market segments: General Merchandise, Fashion and Food. Together with the Sales Engineering team, this department serves the Australian/New Zealand region. The Department is major contributor to Vanderlande ANZ’s growth and profitability
You exceed your discipline, and by doing so, come up with innovative and creative solutions which bring our customers forward. You know how to work together with your internal and external contacts to create the best sales team for each sales project. You also have;
- Bachelor or Master’s degree;
- Multiple years of commercial working experience in a B2B environment;
- Senior, business acumen and a strong sales spirit;
- You have a creative and efficient approach to building professional client relationships;
- High analytical ability, natural negotiator;
- Willingness to travel, also internationally (30%);
- Ability to work within an international work environment and amongst different cultures;
- Proven results in delivering, successfully, multimillion-dollar client solutions
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skill
