What will you be doing?
As Test Manager you’ll organize risk sessions for a risk based test approach, define test strategies/test methods, create and execute a test plan and report on quality and test progress. During the design process you’ll work closely together with the Integration Manager and Project Leader. You’ll make sure that the software solution is integrated and after a careful testing phase is handed-over to the project integration team with known status and quality.
Responsibilities
- Managing your created test plan and the test phase and ensure a smooth, seamless transition to the project integration team together with the test engineers
- Advising on the use of test methods and coaching the team
- Understanding the IT landscape and acting as advisor in correctly estimating the impact of changes
- Ensuring that all project and customer requirements are checked
- Manage developing the IT test / integration plan, the test specifications in collaboration with System Architect and Integration Manager
- Progress monitoring with clear, concise reporting on progress and requirements coverage
- Managing IT software component deliveries by means of review, verification and validation
- Integrating IT sub-systems and deliver a functional working IT solution
- Identifying risks and finding solutions to reduce them
- Finding potential and unresolved problems through an efficient, ‘common sense’ approach

The IT operations department is part of the business unit Warehousing within Vanderlande Industries and is responsible for the system design, testing, and integration of complex Warehousing level solutions worldwide (for example Automatic Case Picking Melbourne South Regional Distribution Center Woolworth). The integration of all high level software components into a working IT solution according to specifications is especially challenging for large and complex warehouses. This is the focus area of the IT configuration and Integration -team.
What do we ask from you?
- You have a technical or logistics education, at least Bachelor level
- Preferably you’re familiar with customer processes in the Warehouse Automation, Parcel & Postal and/or Baggage Handling industries
- You’re an experienced software tester, and you’re familiar with system assurance system (requirement management, testing and validation, change management and configuration management)
- ISTQB certificates are preferred
- You know how to build partnerships with third party suppliers and with internal suppliers
- You know how to find the right balance between quality, lead time and cost
- You have well-developed analytical skills, and you think at system level
- You’re proactive and pragmatic
- You’re able to motivate people at all levels
- Good command of the English language

This position offers a competitive salary range of € 4.100 to € 5.200 per month. Through exceeding performance expectations, you even have the possibility to grow outside this scale.
