Vanderlande is seeking a talented, business-minded college student to join our Supply Chain Center for North America. As an Intern you will be engaged with sourcing strategies, cost savings initiatives, Sales & Operations Planning, and analyzing and evaluating supplier performance. As an Intern you will be exposed to all facets of Strategic Sourcing along with being given a number of specific tasks / projects to elevate your knowledge of Supply Chain, the ways of Vanderlande and to help identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
•Currently at least a Junior in an undergraduate bachelor’s degree program, or a graduate student in a master’s degree program
•Available to work 20-40 hours per week and complete entire assignment.
•Majoring in Supply Chain Management/Operations Management, Mechanical/Industrial Engineering, Business or related field
•Ability to work independently or as part of a team
•Strong analytical skills, detail orientation and statistical applications knowledge
•Proven ability to manage multiple competing priorities and deadlines
•Outstanding written and verbal communication skills and ability to effectively communicate with business partners
•Demonstrated strategic thinking, problem-solving, and project management skills
•PC skills – Fluent with Excel (pivot tables, Vlookup formulas…) and other MS programs: Word, PowerPoint, Access
•Demonstrated personal accountability for results
•Ability to read engineering drawings is a plus
•Confident, “take charge mentality”, who takes initiative.
