Team Lead/ People Manager

Your department

To make sure that these systems meet the performance requirements of our customer, the Simulation and Emulation Department specializes in the analysis of system performance and system behaviour by means of simulation models and operational data. The engineers within the department use the results of these analyses to verify that performance requirements are met and to suggest improvements to system designs. We work within all the market segments (Airports, Warehousing and Parcel), for all phases of the life cycle of a system, from R&D and sales, to project execution and life cycle services. 

Your job

As a team lead/ people manager you will manage a team, performing a variety of interrelated activities: Coach the people reporting to you and guide the team with driving the development efforts. You have experience with Agile processes and Scrum. You help with insights into the software development process and support us in our ambition to productize our simulation and emulation tooling. Also part of the role are methodologically analyzing and improving departmental processes, taking responsibility for people development and taking strategic decisions. 

Required Education and Experience

  • 6-10 years relevant work experience (seniority level) (study time can be counted for as part of this time)

  • Experienced in working in multinational teams

  • You have been training and mentoring others and have shown to be successful helping them continuously improve. Proven training and Certifications on coaching and mentoring are a plus

  • At least 4 years of experience in project-driven work-environment
     

Preferred Qualification (Any of the following additional experience are a plus)

  • At least 5 years of experience as Scrum Master

  • Software development within various industrial environments like baggage handling, Warehouse Control/Execution software or equivalent

  • Familiarity with the logistic process industry

  • Fast learned with curiosity and strong inquiry skills

  • Proven experience working with colleagues located in different parts of the world

  • Strong communication skills with very good command of the English language both in oral as well as written; Dutch is a nice-to-have

  • Willing to travel occasionally

  • Track record of leading own project activities independently

This position offers a competitive salary range of € 4600 to € 5900 gross per month. Through exceeding performance expectations, you even have the possibility to grow outside this scale
