About the Role
As an integral part of our Physical Distribution department, the Planning & Scheduling team ensures the seamless flow of operations across the warehouse. This team focuses on stock availability, shipment prioritization, picking tasks, and developing loading schedules. By synchronizing warehouse activities and optimizing resources, we strive to prevent disruptions, ensuring efficient and streamlined operations.
As a Transport Planner, you will take charge of drafting, planning, coordinating outgoing transports across multiple Vanderlande warehouses. Your main objective is to ensure transport plans support operational efficiency and meet customer requirements while optimizing resources and adhering to company standards.
You will be teamed up with another Transport Planner, working closely together and reporting directly to the Team Lead Planning & Scheduling.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and deliver a daily transport planning based on the forecasted needs of our customers, following the correct timeliness and shipping instructions.
- Monitor real-time data within the Warehouse Management Systems to identify bottlenecks or delays in the transport planning process, and proactively resolve/flag these issues.
- Ensure a smooth and coordinated flow of outgoing shipments while considering the day-to-day fluctuations in the business.
- Collaborate closely with other departments to ensure transportation planning is managed efficiently and seamlessly integrated into the Warehouse Operations process.
- Contributing to the set-up of a new department within Physical Distribution.
- Continuously improve quality and delivery performance on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.

- Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey information clearly and effectively to different audiences.
- Having experience within Logistical environments is a must, planning experience is a plus.
- MBO3/4 degree or equivalent level of work and thinking.
- Knowledge of WMS systems and Microsoft Office.
- Showing initiative, willingness to learn
- Stress resilient and result driven, able to work under pressure in an always changing environment.

This position offers a competitive salary range of €2.600 to €3.200 gross per month (excluding 8% holiday allowance). Through exceeding performance expectations, you even have the possibility to grow outside this scale.
