UX Technology Architect

As a UX Technology Architect, you own and enhance our Design System and drive our (software) development jointly with our UX Community of Practice. You will work together with a team of entrepreneurial business and technology experts to realize the evolving needs of the customers and the company strategy of Vanderlande.
The Architecture & Integration group is part of the Technology organization within Vanderlande and is responsible for the platform architecture of Vanderlande’s product portfolio across all market segments. Your department drives standardization of products and modules. At the same time, it provides the Business Units with the necessary agility to quickly and efficiently create tailored customer solutions out of a set of standardized building blocks.
You own the UX Roadmap and Design System and empower our development teams to make optimal use of these standards and guidelines. You are eager to understand our customer’s and user needs to set the example with mature designs for our digital and physical customer solutions.
Collaboration is key to you, as you will work with the UX Community, the Design System team as well as with Product Owners of our Development teams to get our UX vision and standards implemented.
Your main tasks and responsibilities are:
Enthusiastically lead the global UX Community of Practice
Set the direction and roadmap for our UX Designs
Collaborate with the global community of Vanderlande architects, designers and development teams to drive Vanderlande UX choices and design guidelines
The combination of your open-minded personality, quick understanding of our customer’s business, mature (digital) design skills and excellent communication/influencing skills is the key success factor for this job.
Other qualifications are:
You have a Bachelor or Master’s degree in a Design related study (e.g. Industrial, Multimedia) with 10+ years relevant working experience;
You have Design Thinking experience and mind set, you can deal with uncertainty, able to keep an overview, are curious, flexible and agile;
You are a team player in a communicative world with excellent communicative, storytelling and analytical skills;
You enjoy working in an international setting and you are willing to travel;
You know what agile working encompasses;
Strong communication skills in the English language (both spoken and in writing). Any other language is a plus.
You know the latest (digital) design tools. Besides Microsoft Office (PowerPoint) also Adobes Creative Cloud (like XD, Illustrator, etc.) doesn’t have secrets for you.
Domain knowledge in the Airports, Warehouse and/or Parcel domain is a pre.
