Oslo Airport is the gateway for all domestic flights across Norway, and serves an important role in the ‘Connecting Norway’ customs clearance scheme. It connects to 28 domestic and 115 international destinations, and is the second busiest airport in the Nordic region. Oslo is also aspiring to be among the top ten airports in Europe.
Due to anticipated growth, the airport had to consider its strategy surrounding future expansion. This was to help it accommodate 28 million passengers annually, with a view to hosting around 35 million travellers. In realising this, Oslo Airport also needed to accommodate the growing demands of the airlines it serves.
