As Integration Manager you’ll be responsible for translating the customer requirements into a carefully designed system with the lowest possible risks. You’ll make sure that the system is handed-over according to specification by your colleagues and suppliers. During the design process you’ll support the Project Manager and Project Leader in resolving technical and system-related issues.
Your tasks and responsibilities
Your main tasks and responsibilities will be:

You’ll lead the test phase and ensure a smooth, seamless transition to our customer's operational processes.

Advising on the use of standard solutions and the impact of special solutions.

Understanding the customer processes and acting as advisor in correctly estimating the impact of changes.

Ensuring that all project and customer requirements are met.

Developing the integration plan, the test specifications and the test plans.

Progress monitoring with clear, concise reporting.

Managing component deliveries by suppliers by means of verification and validation.

Integrating (sub-)systems in existing customer systems.

Identifying risks and finding solutions to reduce them.

Finding potential and unresolved problems through an efficient, ‘common sense’ approach.
Your department
The Parcel Solution Design and Integration department is part of the business domain Distribution within Vanderlande Industries. The department is responsible for system design, testing and integration of complex Parcel systems for international customers all over the world, like DHL, FedEx or DPD Group. The integration of all components (mechanical, electronic, OT software, IT software and IT Hardware) into a working system according to specifications is especially challenging for large and complex Parcel systems. The department works in an international team setting with people from different countries with different cultural backgrounds.
Your profile

You have a technical or logistics education, at least Bachelor level.

Experience, preferably in Logistics, Parcel and/or Warehousing projects.

Affinity with IT and Industrial Automation.

Good knowledge of PLCs Siemens.

Good knowledge of the mechanical, electrical and network (IT) parts.

Basic knowledge of Systems Engineering and / or Software development.

You’re an experienced system integrator, and you’re familiar with system assurance system (requirement management, testing and validation, change management and configuration management).

You know how to build partnerships with customers and with internal and external suppliers.

You know how to find the right balance between quality, lead time and cost.

You have well-developed analytical skills, and you think at system level.

You’re proactive and pragmatic.

You’re able to motivate people at all levels.

Good communication skills in English.

You’re willing to travel, and to spend up to 50% of your time working on-site in the project handover phase.
