Are you ready to take charge and lead the coordination and execution of our Design Warranty Programs, ensuring they are carried out effectively and efficiently across the globe?
Your role
At Vanderlande, we do everything we can to design and install our systems in the best possible way for our customers worldwide. But have you ever considered how many different components come together in our installations? The challenge is not just in building a perfect system – it is also in structurally solving and preventing on-site issues. That is why we have dedicated budget for Design Warranty Programs—and that is where you come in.
As a Project Manager Service, you will take the lead in field quality campaigns at our customer sites worldwide. You feel comfortable identifying problems, setting priorities, and coordinating colleagues to ensure that all work on-site is executed according to plan. If meeting a deadline means rolling up your sleeves yourself, you won’t hesitate—you might even find yourself in a hardware store picking up last-minute parts needed for the next day’s maintenance!
Can you bring structure to multiple ongoing projects, maintain a helicopter view to set the right priorities, and are not afraid to get your hands dirty to get the job done? Then keep reading!
Your responsibilities
- You are the first point of contact for any issues that are encountered during field quality campaigns. Next to being responsible on a global level, you are responsible for the execution on site across our market segments.
- You are financially responsible for the field quality campaigns in your portfolio.
- You are working closely with the global problem-solving unit and several customer center representatives like service account managers, service managers and local project managers.
- You report out to higher management and steering committees.
- You are involved in several projects at the same time while also further developing the process.
As you are working in our Service scope, you need to be billable to a project. Because of this, if in the future there are less field quality campaigns to execute you may be asked to execute some regular service projects alongside field quality campaigns.
Your team
You will be part of a close-knit team of service project managers who handle regular service projects within the warehousing domain. While their focus may differ, they have a wealth of experience in project execution at Vanderlande and are always ready to help you connect with the right people.
At the same time, you will work closely with our own team of Electrical, Controls, and Mechanical engineers. Because they are part of our own organization, communication lines are short, making it easy to get the technical support you need.
Beyond that, you will also collaborate with other disciplines, and keep management informed about project statuses and any potential escalations. In short, a dynamic role where quick decision-making and working across different teams will be part of your daily challenge!
Who are we looking for?
- A completed Bachelor level or Master in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Automation, Computer Science or Controls Technology or have similar work experience.
- Ability to set up and develop a project team in a matrix organization. Someone who is making sure the team can deliver projects aiming for 100% customer satisfaction.
- Affinity with mechanical, electrical, low-level controls and automated handling systems is preferred.
- At least 5 years’ experience with international, multi-disciplinary project management.
- Willingness to travel up to 10%.
What We Offer
For this position we offer a salary varying between € 4.700 to € 6.400 gross per month (excluding 8% holiday allowance) depending on your experience. Furthermore you will receive the following:
- 40 vacation days (20 statutory days plus a flexible budget worth 20 days that can also be used to complement your salary).
- Flexible work hours with a hybrid workplace and a commuting allowance, including full reimbursement for travel by public transport.
