Your responsibilities

You will be part of the UK IT Projects department, which is responsible for implementing IT infrastructure for project activity. The IT infrastructure is an integral part of the automated material handling systems that we provide to our customers.

You will be a infrastructure all-rounder that has an understanding of the full stack, network, servers, operating system, storage and database while primarily have a Linux/Oracle skill set. As a knowledgeable individual you will take an interest in all aspects of our solutions to assist in project delivery and troubleshooting.

Experience working and coordinating your activities with multiple external suppliers and internal departments is essential. As a great communicator you will need to build up an internal network so that you can work efficiently.

Your previous role would have given you multi-disciplinary experience including Oracle/Linux and MS Windows technologies from a high availability perspective.
Your qualifications and skills
As a technically minded, proactive and knowledgeable IT Infrastructure Engineer you will possess Senior level administrator knowledge in a number of following technologies:

Operating systems (Ubuntu, SUSE Linux and Microsoft Windows)

High Availability, Disaster recovery technologies including clustering
-
Creating technical documentation and undearstand the audience of these documents
-
Platform virtualisation (Vmware)
-
Active Directory, Group Policy
To be eligible for this position, you should:
-
Have several years of experience in the ICT area (such as hardware, security, virtualization, container platform, automation)
-
Have a sincere interest in technical developments and innovations;
-
Have a positive, hands on and can do attitude
-
Be fluent in English (written and verbal)
-
See yourself as highly skilled in terms of Oracle/Linux.
