Job Description:

Vanderlande provides its customers with life-cycle services for material handling systems. Maintenance Services on MHS equipment on site is an integrated and important part of our core business as a company. Vanderlande focuses on continuously improving by intense cooperation between all the disciplines within our company together with our customers.

As a Senior Field Service Engineer, you will support our key customer in APAC region in maintaining and repairing the system. You required to travel in APAC region, sometimes to customer locations abroad, where the duration can vary from a few days to a few weeks. You will be based at one of the key customer sites to support the maintenance team. You will support preventive and corrective maintenance activities.  

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide Level 2 technical support for maintenance team on site for APAC sites. Field of support on mechanical, electrical and LLC (PLC & FSC).
  • To be part of maintenance team on site that cover 24×7.
  • Occasionally might required to work on shift to support other team members.
  • Execute maintenance plans, perform preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
  • Coordination with hotline team to resolve incident that required Level 3 support.
  • Travel to site with short notice.
  • To be on-call roster.
  • Attend to incident and prepare detail report of fault, troubleshooting, root cause and solutions.
  • To support project initiated by Service department as a Project Engineer.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree/diploma in Electrical and Control, Mechatronic Engineering or similar.
  • At least 5 years’ working experience in material handling systems (warehouse, parcel, or baggage handling system) or similar industries having low-level control systems and high-level control systems.
  • Knowledge of control system (PLC, Siemens).
  • Analytical ability to structure and solve technical problems.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge and experience with DOS Maximo or equivalent CMMS.
  • Good communication and presentation skills.
  • Good reading, writing, and speaking skills in English language and local language.
